Perhaps it's just the way my addled brain works, but when I read that same article, along with your blog post, I couldn't help but see a correlation to sex. Even, to a small degree, in relation to our kids. I firmly believe our (the collective "our") kids would benefit from more healthy, positive views on sex as well. The quality of the food we eat, our attitudes toward food and the enjoyment we get from nourishing ourselves with food is often an indicator, in my experience, of how we feel about sex, how we respond to sex, the quality of the sex we're having and how positive (or not) our overall sexual life is. Healthier attitudes toward both are desperately needed in this country.
